I'm Martha Stewart!

OK so really not so much. I did, however, buy and make these super cute Martha Stewart brand stockings for Landon and Torilynn. I have been looking to make some stockings for the children for awhile but in all honesty I am not very crafty. I was looking around at Joann's the other day and I found these on sale for half price. I was thrilled. The actual stocking was already put together and all I really had to do was add the letters and the decoration. The hardest part of the process has been hand stitching the letters (not necessary but I want the stockings to last). All in all a fun and easy craft project.

Super cute stockings!! Also, let me give you some advise... If anyone asks if you did it all by yourself, always take credit, wether you did it or not (only if it turns out good, if not someone else did it)!!

very cute. I like your new coloring on your blog. :) So how did you do the stitching? When I did the lettering on mine and dan's stockings, i used fabric/interfacing, then embroidered along the outline of the letters, cut them out, then hand stitched them onto the stockings,... Yours look just as good if not better and I bet it took you half the effort mine did,.. :) looking for ideas. haha.

The stockings came with sticky felt and letter patterns so all I did was cut out the letters and put them on the stocking and then I just stiched around the inside of the letters . My han stiching is not great but you honestly can't really even see it unless you get up close

oh awesome. i might have to try that. except felt is not my favorite. hehe. I used invisible thread to stitch mine so you might try that next time if you were worried. sounds so easy,.. but it's basically the same process I followed,.. I just took a little more trouble to make my letters into mini patches of sorts. oh well. :) these things always sound easy until you try them. :) I'm going to have to name my kids with short names or something. ;)
