Fun Weekend....

This weekend has been a really good one. On Friday I got a new camera. I have been wanting a new camera for a while. My old camera was kinda hit and miss on the quality of pictures it would take. Most of the time my pictures would turn out really dark or blurry and that got really annoying. I love my new camera. It is a Canon PowerShot S5IS. It has 12x optical zoom (I love this. I hated how with my old camera I had to get up really close to something to get a good close up shot) and the picture quality is really great. As an added bonus it takes high quality video too!
For Easter my mom bought us the movie Enchanted. We had never seen it so Landon, Jared, and I watched it on Saturday. We all really enjoyed it so it was a win, win, win situation. I really recommend it for the few of you who may not have seen it yet. Thanks mom!
Today we had a great day at church. It was my month to do sharing time but the chorister had asked if she could spend the 5th Sunday doing music the whole hour. I was totally nice enough to let her do this :). It was really nice to have a break from preparing a lesson for sharing time and the kids loved all the fun activities that she had prepared for singing time so again, win win win. All in all this has been a good weekend. I know nothing really exciting happened but that is OK. I hope you all had a nice weekend too! Here are some pictures taken with our new camera:Landon with our old camera. He was trying to take a picture of me but he always ends up with his fingers over the lens.
Torilynn loves it when I open the front door and let her look outside through the screen.
Torilynn's first ponytail. OK so it really isn't much of a ponytail (can I even call it that?) and you can't see it great in this picture, but I was super excited that she finally has enough hair to pull up into a little ponytail holder.
A slightly better picture of the "ponytail." Tori was exhausted after a long hard day at church.
Not the best picture but Landon's church outfit today was very handsome!

Easter Fun!

We had a pretty fun Easter this year. Holidays are a lot more fun now that Landon is older and can get excited about them.
On Saturday we dyed Easter eggs. Landon loved doing this and had a great time.
On Sunday the kids found their Easter baskets.
I tried to get some pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes before church but they didn't really turn out, oh well...

After church we went over to a family in our wards house and had Easter dinner. It was delicious. I loved having a place to go and not having to cook. The kids enjoyed being somewhere other then home and having new toys to play with. The Browns are great people and I love visiting with them so the company was really nice too.

Digital Scrap

Seeing my friend Jodi's digital scrapbooking pages made me want to do some digital scraping of my own. Here are some of the pages I did today. I am thinking of printing them out on 8x10 photo sheets ( my printer isn't good enough to print them out at home) with 2 inches of white space and then cutting them down to 8x8 pages to make a mini album. We’ll see how it works out. Anyway I had a lot of fun making them and I hope you enjoy.

Easter Pictures

Since Easter is coming up on Sunday (Easter already? Yikes!) I decided now would be a good time to post the kids Easter Pictures I had done last month. I don't like how they turned out as much as I like the other pictures of the kids but some are cute and I really like their Easter outfits. I hope you like them....
For those of you who may have slow Internet connection sorry about the 50 million pictures :)

Peterson Visit

As you all know Jared's parents were in town visiting us this last week. It was so fun to have them here with us. Sadly today they had to head back home to Las Vegas. We were all sad to see them go but Landon was especially sad and cried most of the way home from the airport. I am so grateful for Mom and Dad Peterson and all that they do for us. They are great in laws, great parents, and great grandparents, and i really could not ask for a better family. We love them so much and we are so glad that they took some time out of their busy lives to come visit us.
Yesterday we were able to visit a county park nearby. The weather was WONDERFUL and we had a great time. Here are some pictures:

We hope that Mom and Dad had as much fun visiting us as we did having them here. Also we are always open for visitors so if any of the rest of you ever have the urge to visit Indiana we would love to have you :)

Road Trip 2008

Last Thursday Mom and Dad Peterson flew in to visit us here in Indiana. Shortly after their arrival we hit the road to visit Jared's Grandparents who are serving a mission in Adam-ondi-ahman. We spent the day with them on Friday and it was so much fun. We visited a lot of church sites in the area such as Adam-ondi-ahmen and the temple site in Far West. We also spent some time visiting a small Amish village nearby. It was great to be able to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Peterson and we had a ton of fun.
On Saturday we headed to Nauvoo. Jared and I visited a couple of historical sites before heading over to the Nauvoo temple to do a session. It was great to be able to go to the temple. Mom and Dad took the kids around to a few more historical sites while we were in the temple. It was really neat to be in Nauvoo and I wish we could have spent more time there.
We headed back home Saturday evening as Jared and I had to be back to Elkhart by Sunday because of our callings. We rested a bit on Sunday and then today we hit Notre Dame. Jared gave Mom and Dad the grand tour of campus and I think they enjoyed it.
It has been great having Mom and Dad here visiting with us. Landon and Torilynn love all the extra attention that they get from the grandparents and I am sure they will be super sad when Thursday rolls around and Mom and Dad have to leave. I am so grateful for the wonderful family we have and I wish that we could see them more often.

Goodbye Winter!

It is March and I think that by the time March rolls around winter weather should be done and over. Apparently someone doesn't agree with me as it is still cold and snowy here in Indiana but as a way to try and will the end of winter I am writing this farewell to winter post.
I don't hate snow I really don't. There are tons of fun things to do in the snow like build a snowman (see pictures below), have a snowball fight, go sledding, etc. I am just so sick of the snow! I am so ready to kiss the snow goodbye until the end of the year!

Landon was so excited to show me the snowman he and Jared made.
My boys are so cute!

Here are some pictures of the new floating shelves I put up. I have been wanting to put some shelves up to display the digital picture frame I got for Christmas and some other pictures and I finally got around to it. I really like the way it turned out.
