Fat Landon and Sick Kids

The other day Landon thought it would be funny to put on multiple shirts. He would put one shirt on, run out to the living room to show me, laugh, and run back to his room to put on another shirt. I think he got 7 shirts on before it became a struggle to add more. Here is a picture of a portly Landon with all of his shirts on.

This week has been one full of sick kids at the Peterson house. It started out on Wednesday when Ella developed a fever and some bowel issues, she was also teething so she was not a happy camper. By Friday her fever was gone and she was back to her happy self but on Landon started to develop a cough. On Saturday Landon got a fever to go along with his cough, and Tori also had a very low grade fever. Both of them spent a good portion of Saturday sleeping. This morning when the kids woke up Tori was feeling fine (this girl seriously has the immune system of champions) but Landon was looking worse then he did on Saturday, poor guy! So Tori and I headed off to church while Jared, Landon, and Ella stayed home. Here is Tori ready for Church
Here is Landon ready to stay home from Church Though he did try to smile for the camera a few times

And as to not leave on a sad note...Here is a cute picture of Ella

PSA of the Day

Target is having a MAJOR clearance sale on their kid shoes. Most of the shoes are 75% off. I got 8 pairs of shoes for less then $25 total! The most I paid was $3.74/pair and I got two pairs for $1.98!! You really can't beat that. Some other things I noticed on clearance:
-women's shoes
-slippers
-Toys (a lot of really cool toys that I can't fit in my house are on clearance)
-Baby Stuff
So if you have a Target nearby, or if you know someone who has a Target nearby who can check on the deals for you, I would check it out. It can't hurt right?

Our Sunday

Sunday night during dinner Landon started whining and rubbing his face and within a few minutes his face was really red and blotchy. We gave him some Claratin and he was fine, but his allergic reaction reminded me of an incident that happened last January. Looking back at the pictures from last year this reaction wasn't nearly as bad, but Landon's allergies and eczema sure do make me sad sometimes.
Last year. This year.It was worse in real life then it appears in the picture.
On a totally unrelated topic my nephew Clayton got a really cool Batcave for Christmas. Ever since Landon saw Clayton's Christmas pictures he has been talking about that "Bat Castle." Then he saw it at Target when we went there on his birthday. Sometime last week Landon came up to me and said "I want my Batman Castle" and he kept bringing it up ALL THE TIME. So I decided that with the money my Dad sent Landon for his birthday I would get Landon the Batman Castle. Landon loves it and so does his sisters ;). So thanks Clayton!

Tori and the Batcave. Her hair looked really cute on Sunday.

Cute Video

Last night Landon was making Ella laugh so hard. Here is a video:

Landon's Birthday

Landon had a wonderful birthday! The fun started on Friday when we brought cupcakes into his class. He came home super excited because they gave him a crown. On Saturday, the big day, we started off going shopping. Landon loves to go shopping with me so this was a treat for him. At Target I let him pick out a toy. After we got home from the store we headed over to McDonald's. Landon had a ton of fun playing in the play area and eating his chicken nuggets. We then came home ate cake and ice cream and opened presents. Then on Sunday his Sunbeam teacher threw a little party for him, complete with decorations, cake, and even a present! Landon was more then spoiled and now, days later, he keeps telling me it is his birthday.

4 Years Old!

I can't believe that my little boy is turning 4 today. And it is crazy to think that that is what he is, a little boy, not a baby and not a toddler. My boy is growing up so fast, and while I love discovering the person he is becoming a part of me misses that tiny 4lb 13 oz little baby boy who came into this world 4 years ago today.
I absolutely love being Landon's mom. The challenges, joys, and triumphs of parenting him have taught me so much and I feel that I am a better person because he is part of my life. Though he can be a bit bossy and a bit whiny he is such a sweet, happy, and funny kid. He is a great big brother and his sisters adore him. Happy Birthday Landon! I love you!

7 Months Old

A few days ago Ella turned 7 months old. I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She is such a sweet little girl. I think that she is the perfect third child because she is very easy going and very low maintenance. She is usually happy and she loves to laugh (it took a lot to get Landon and Tori to laugh when they were babies, but not Ella). She is beautiful but still really bald (the hair will come one day right?? ;)).
Here are some things that Ella has been up to in the last few months:
- She has mastered sitting up.
-She has mastered the army crawl. So signs of real crawling yet.
- She has 3 teeth. Her bottom central incisors and one top lateral incisor, weird I know.
- She babbles and tries to "talk" all the time
I really love this age for babies. They are mobile but not too mobile and they are so fun and interactive. I think this is the age you really start to see their little personalities develop.

Boy am I in for it...

A few weeks ago I found Tori like this That's right ladies and gentlemen she found lipstick and proceeded to make herself "pretty" (I don't even know where she found lipstick,I don't wear it). This is what happened when I took the lipstick away I think I am in trouble and it isn't just because she is already trying to wear makeup. Lately Tori has developed an opinion about what she wants to wear. She is constantly bringing me clothes and asking me to put them on her. Last night I was getting her ready for bed and she threw a fit because she didn't want to wear the pajamas I had picked out for her. She wasn't happy until I found the exact pair she wanted to wear. The girl isn't even two yet!!

My Little Sunbeam

Today was Landon's first day in Sunbeams. I can't believe that my little boy is old enough to be in Primary! One of my greatest joys as a parent is watching my children learn about the gospel . I especially love to see the excitement Landon has for it. He loves church, FHE, singing primary songs, and it is so cute to hear him recite the 1st Article of Faith (he can recite the real thing now, not just the version he made up). I hope that this excitement and love for the gospel will continue and increase as Landon grows older.
