So Tired!

Yesterday I had a doctors appointment and when I came home I found Tori like this:

Today I gave her a sandwich for lunch and when I looked over at her she was literally falling asleep while still eating her sandwich. Here is a video of it, unfortunately once she realized I had the camera out she woke up. Anyway it was very funny and cute, apparently even being super tired won't stop my girl from finishing her lunch.

Pool Party!

About a week ago I bought the kids a little kiddie pool in anticipation for summer weather. Well today the temperature finally got into the 70's so the kids had a pool party. Landon and Tori both had a lot of fun playing in the pool. I was a little worried that Tori would not like the pool since Landon wasn't really a big fan when he was her age but she LOVED it. It was fun for the kids to get to spend sometime outside, Tori spent about an hour in the pool and Landon was in there for about an hour and a half. I finally had to convince him it was time to go inside because Mommy was getting too hot.

Landon put on this "hat" and declared "I'm Chinese!" The boy watches too much Ni Hao, Kai-lan

We have a date....

Sorry I haven't updated this thing in a while. I really have not been feeling great and I have been so tired and lazy. I know those are lame excuses but oh well.
This last week has been pretty fun. On Saturday Landon and I went on a mother/son date. We went to Applebe's for lunch and then we went to the mall and made a puppy at Build-a- Bear. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to spend some one on one time with my little boy.
In other news I had a doctors appointment today and we set up my c-section date and time. If everything goes as planned we will be welcoming a new little Peterson on June 5th at around 11:00 am. That is 2 weeks from tomorrow, yikes! I am ready not to be pregnant any more but I don't know how ready I am to have 3 kiddos. It is a little too late to change my mind though so ready or not here we go :).

Fun Weekend!

We had a really fun weekend....
The funtivities began on Friday with Torilynn's Birthday party. It was only the 4 of us as all of Tori's "friends" are at least 6 months older or younger then her.We started off the party by opening up Tori's presents. She got a Cabbage Patch doll and three little Disney Princess barbie type dolls. It was then time for birthday cake. As you can see from the above picture Tori was ready to dive in.She really enjoyed her cake.
Saturday morning we took the kids to the Zoo. It was a perfect day and the weather was lovely. Landon was so excited to be at the Zoo. He kept running from exhibit to exhibit and he was so excited to see all the animals.Landon looking at the Tiger.
This is a picture of Landon pointing at the fish. For some reason he was really excited to see the fish.
Here are some of the animals we saw:
A two hump Camel (this thing was HUGE!)
We saw Koi
A Peacock
Lions
Alligators
Landon's favorite part of our trip to the Zoo was riding the mini train. He was so excited! He kept saying "Mommy, I'm going to ride on a train!"
Landon and Jared on the train.
Tori also had fun at the Zoo.
Landon riding the giant turtle statue.
On Saturday night our ward had a Mother Daughter un-sleepover. Tori and I went and had a lot of fun visiting with the other ladies in our ward. They had delicious food and a lot of different activities for moms and their girls to do. Because Tori is so young we only ended up eating and painting Tori's toenails. I tried to get a picture of Tori's toes but the nail color was too light to see.
So we had a great fun filled weekend. We hope that you all had a nice weekend too. Also for all the Moms who read our blog Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Birthday Torilynn!

Today is my babies first birthday. I can not believe how fast the last year has flown by. Torilynn has been such a great addition to our family and I feel so blessed to have her as my daughter. Here is some fun information about my sweet little girl on her first birthday:

1. Torilynn is such a sweet easy going girl. After having Landon I was worried that my second child would be handful but in a lot of ways she has been easier then Landon. She is usually content to just play and watch the world around her.

2. Tori loves her family. She will give strangers the stare down but when it comes to her family she is all smiles. She absolutely loves her Daddy and older brother.

3. Tori has recently started to stand on her own and take steps here and there, pretty soon she will be walking everywhere.

4. Tori is a talker. At a year old she can say: tickle, hi, Da (daddy), baby, uh oh, Maccoco ( I am sure that is spelled wrong it is Portuguese and it is the name of Landon's toy monkey), Tori (apparently she is vain), and Dora. She also waves and blows kisses.

5. Tori is absolutely beautiful. I know that as her Mom my opinion on this matter is pretty biased but I really think she is the cutest girl ever!

In honor of Tori's Birthday I put together this slide show of the last year, I hope you enjoy it!

Checkup

Today the kids had a check-upLandon at 3 years 4 months old is weighing in at a hefty 27 lbs and he is 36 inches tall. He is still tiny but I was super excited that he finally hit the 3ft mark and that he gained 2lbs and an inch and a half in the last 6 months. I think that is good growth for a 3 year old.At a year old, Torilynn is weighing in at 19 lbs 3 oz and is 28.5 inches tall. She is a great size for her age. She is slowly catching up to her brother in size but still has a bit of a ways to go . We always warn Landon that he needs to be nice to Tori because one day she will be bigger then him and she will be able to fight back :).
