Back to School 2012

 Summer break has come to an end and Landon and Tori headed back to school today. Landon is in 2nd grade this year and Tori is in Kindergarten. I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up, and it makes me a little sad that their childhood seems to be flashing before my eyes. But the joy I get from watching them grow and become these amazingly kind, compassionate, independent, and smart individuals overrides all of the sad stuff. Here's to another great school year!

Swim Lessons

This summer the kids have been taking swim lessons from some girls that go to our church.  These girls have done such a fantastic job, they are super nice, but they make the kids face their fears.



I took these videos of Landon yesterday and he swam even better today. He swam the width of the pool 2 or 3 times all by himself, and then he jumped off the diving board and swam to the edge with absolutely no help at all.

Holland Michigan

My mother-in-law came to visit the week of the 4th of July. We love it when she comes to visit because she always plans many "grand adventures." This trip one of the grand adventures was to visit a little theme park in Holland Michigan. The kids had a blast!
