Fun Week

This past week has been jam packed with some super fun things. First on Monday for Family Home Evening we went to the circus. When I was little I remember my parents taking me to the Ringling Brothers Circus and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. Well this circus was not quite the Ringling Brothers Circus, in fact it was pretty ghetto, but the kids liked it well enough and Landon even got to ride an elephant! I forgot my camera in the car so I didn't get any pictures of the kids at the circus but I did get a picture of Jared taking the kids to see a train up close when we were stuck at a train crossing, what a great Dad!

Wednesday is when the real fun began, Jared's mom flew in to visit from Las Vegas. I had grand plans of going to Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago while she was here but when the day arrived I was not feeling very well and the weather was bad so we went to a kids Health Museum instead. Landon and Tori really seemed to like the museum and they were so happy to have Grammy there with them.

Yesterday was Landon's last day of swim class so Landon, Grammy and I headed over to the YMCA. Landon was so brave and even jumped off the diving board into the big pool. I was really glad that Grammy was there to cheer Landon on, I don't think he would have jumped otherwise.

Sadly yesterday we also had to say goodbye to Grammy. We were all really sad to see her go but Landon was devastated, he wanted to fly back to Vegas with her so badly. We had a such a great time with Grammy this week and we really wish we could go visit or have her visit us more often. I am so grateful for Jared's mom, she is a great mother to Jared, a wonderful mother-in-law to me, and my kids could not have asked for a better grandma. Thanks mom for the visit we had a great time and we hope you did too!
