Out with the old in with the new...

Back when we lived in Reno one of Jared's coworkers gifted us their old sofa. The sofa was kinda ugly but it was a lazy boy sofa and it was pretty comfy so we took it. When we moved out here I discovered a big flaw with the sofa, it was a beast to move. This couch had a ton of metal parts because it reclined. I don't know how much the thing weighed but it was HEAVY. I remember unloading the moving truck and trying to lift that couch. I tried my best to help Jared move that thing but I have absolutely no upper body strength and so I failed. The image of Jared flipping the couch across our lawn and somehow moving the sofa up into our house all by himself will forever be burned into my mind. I vowed then and there that we would only move that couch one more time and it wouldn't be to a new house, it would be to Goodwill.
Now Jared really enjoyed this sofa and he was not so set on giving it up but recently I wore him down and convinced him to let me get new couches with a portion of our tax return. Yesterday we said good-bye to the beast and today our new couches arrived! I think that they look great and I am happy to have new furniture that should last us for a good while! Oh and an extra bonus, they won't be very hard to move when the time comes.

Our new couches!

Theresa when we moved here the Elders Quorum President had a bunch of people lined up to help us move our stuff in on the day we thought we'd get our stuff but our stuff got in a day late in the middle of the day and we had a limited amount of time to get our stuff out of the truck so we had to do it ourselves. When Jared moved the couch this time (to Goodwill) someone in the ward came to help.

I love the colors that is one of my most favorite colors for some reason, hopefully the kids will be kind, that was the one thing I hated about getting new couches and stuff was I never wanted to be one of those mom's that never let the kids be in the room or on the furnature, but I also wanted the furnature to last, I am so happy for you guys you deserve it!

Those look so great! I'm so happy for you! Isn't it so nice to have a change? And a fancy change, no less:) Can't wait to come see them in person! Wait, I didn't mean to invite myself over. Though I am hoping to drop Ella off on my way to the hospital one of these days ...
