Late Monday night we returned home from our very fun and exciting Summer vacation. We spent just shy of 2 weeks in Las Vegas, flew home, and then the kids and I drove to Vermont! Since our vacation was 3 weeks long I will break it up into a couple of posts.
*I apologize in advance, most of my pictures will be in collages because my computer is giving me problems*
On May 12th we packed up our minivan and headed on over to the Windy City. We got a really good deal on flights flying out of Chicago so we decided to drive out there and park our car in long term parking. We got to the airport with about 3 hours to spare (better to be early then late right??) and had a lot of fun trying to entertain 3 young children (sarcasm intended). Landon and Tori did pretty well on the flight to Vegas but Ella was not a fan. That 4 hour flight seemed to take about 10 with her as a traveling companion, but we arrived in Vegas safe and sound.
Vegas was so much fun. It is always so great to see family and friends! The kids especially enjoyed their time being spoiled by aunts, uncles, and grandparents. The kids main activity while we were in Vegas was playing outside, they loved having a big back yard to play in. Vegas was HOT. The whole trip I kept thinking to myself "How did I survive growing up here." I am not going to lie, when it was time to fly home a part of me was thrilled to get back to a place where 80 degrees seems like a heat wave.
Here are some pictures of the kids playing outside. We went swimming, played on the slip and slide, rode bikes, ate ice cream, and played at the park and my kids loved every moment of it, well almost every moment. Unfortunately while in Vegas we all got the stomach flu, not fun, luckily it was only a 24 hour thing so it passed quickly.
My favorite part of going to Vegas was visiting family. I love living in Indiana but I miss family so much! I was so excited to see my nephew Brighton (the cutie below with the red hair) and to meet his new brother Seth. These boys are so adorable and fun to be around. It was so great to see my kids play with Brighton, they loved it! We also got to spend some time with my cousins on the Brunner side. It was so great seeing everyone!*I apologize in advance, most of my pictures will be in collages because my computer is giving me problems*

I had to include this picture of me and my brothers (minus Matt, I really wish that he, and my sister Cynthia could have been there too). I love my brothers so much, they are awesome and some of my very best friends.
On the 24th it was time for us to head on back to Indiana. It was really sad to say good bye to family. I feel that we do not get to see our families often enough so I really treasure the time we get to spend with them. We flew back to Chicago, and on our way we had a super short stop over in New Mexico. Speaking of New Mexico, while I was in Vegas I got together with one of my good friends from Reno, Kristen (she and her family now live in New Mexico but she was also visiting family in Vegas). It was really fun to catch up with her and to see her kids. She has some of the cutest kids ever!
Stay Tuned for Part 2 of our adventures: The Road Trip...

That is a lot of travel for three weeks!! Although I think I want to take the drive from Indiana to Vermont and see all the Church history sites!!
Thanks for driving with all the kids, it would not have been the same without you!!
What a vacation! Can't wait to hear the rest :)
I'm so glad you had a lot of fun visiting family! But I'll selfishly admit that I'm sure glad you're back. I really missed you guys!
Sounds so fun and sooooo busy!!!!!Our lives have been a lot like that lately too, will be happy for July to come and all the hectic work schedules calm down so we have time to really enjoy our house, of course I won't complain of the overtime, new houses cost a lot of money to fix them up to what your want them to be!
When are you going to post about your house auntie!? did you close? are you living there now?
