It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas

Last night I decided that it was time to start decorating for Christmas. I got out all of our Christmas stuff and came to the sad realization that we do not have enough space for all our decorations. Oh well at least we got our tree up and our Nativity scene, I guess we really don't need anything else. Landon had a blast trying to "help" me decorate the tree. I got out all of my old ornaments that I have been collecting since I was a kid and it really made me grateful for the tradition my parents and grandparents had of giving us a new ornament each year. I think I will start this tradition with my own kids so that when they are grown up and have their own families they will have a collection of nice ornaments like I have. Anyway here are some pictures
Landon playing in the lights
Tori was not happy that I made her sit up to have her picture taken
She recovered quickly
Landon keeps looking at the tree and saying "It's so pretty"

I'm totally debating putting up my tree too. dumb I know. I'm afraid the cat is going to destroy all of the ornaments. We had a couple casualties last year and I don't want it to happen again this year. And this year, the tree is going to be in an even more convenient spot for the cat and dogs to play with. I can't even put the ornaments high so that they can't get them because the couch is right next to it along with the window where the cat spends all his time. It's the only spot in the house that the tree will fit though,.... :( I'm not sure what to do. I was thinking maybe we'd just buy one of those 50$ fiberoptic tress this year and not put any ornaments up. But that just makes me sad and relieved at the same time,... I'm not sure I like the idea,.... you should tell me what to do.

I love these pictures. I didn't let the boys help me decorate this year. I figure I want one more year with a "pretty" tree before Clayton will ask to help. But it is so fun to see the kids help. Especially when they are all tangled up in the lights. So cute!
